Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Safety and Training Manager to lead safety programs across divisions, ensuring compliance with EPA, OSHA, CDL, and client requirements. This hands-on role combines training development with field leadership to improve safety outcomes and reduce incidents.

You will manage safety manuals, audits, and claims coordination while promoting a strong safety culture among operations, maintenance, and safety teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• College degree or 5+ years of safety management experience.
• CDL/CDSA or CSP designation preferred; local contract requirements apply.
• Knowledge of FTA, FMCSA, and DOT safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong organizational and delegation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sets the tone for ensuring operators are current with training requirements.
• Ensures safety manuals, programs and policies are current and meet needs of divisions.
• Resides as the expert in EPA and OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations.
• Ensures new hires meet minimum general qualifications including background and DMV checks.
• Analyzes safety data, trends, and implements plans to reduce incidents.
• Oversees safety incentives and programs, including Safety Points.
• Promotes a consistent safety culture across locations.
