Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Safety & Training Manager for a Texas-based school bus operation. You will oversee safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead the division in safety initiatives.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work with General Managers to build a robust safety culture and effective training across operations, with a focus on incident prevention and audits.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of current experience in a transportation environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and decision-making.
• Experience teaching, instructing, or public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety manuals and programs are current and meet division needs.
• Reside as the expert in EPA and OSHA, CDL compliance and regulations.
• Ensure new hires meet minimum general qualifications including background and DMV checks.
• Use safety data to analyze trends and develop plans to reduce incidents.
• Oversee safety incentives and programs and assign Safety Points.
• Foster a consistent safety culture across locations involving multiple departments.
• Lead safety audits conducted by corporate, client staff, and regulators.
• Lead classroom and behind-the-wheel safety instruction per client specs.
