Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to support the shop management process, drive cost savings, improve customer retention, and push metric-based initiatives.

You will work cross-functionally across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental Management to gain a complete view of the business and fleet maintenance. The program is fast-paced and training-focused, with a clear path to an Operations Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills including spreadsheet and word processing (advanced).
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Customer relationship activities: proactive management, issue resolution, and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Rental department to maximize utilization without harming lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
• Ensure policies and processes are followed to optimize costs.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing for customer satisfaction.
• Oversee PM scheduling, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; manage technician planning.
