Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to support the shop management process, drive cost savings, and improve customer retention through metric-driven initiatives.

The program is fast-paced and offers internal promotion paths toward an Ops Supervisor role. The role requires collaboration across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental Management, with training to manage heavy-duty truck repairs while being paid.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills including spreadsheet and word processing software packages (Excel/Word).
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationship activities with quality interface and proactive management.
• Coordinate with rental department to maximize utilization.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and satisfaction.
• Monitor running costs and maintenance overheads and optimize where possible.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
