Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Operations Management Trainee in the United States to support shop management, with focus on cost savings, customer retention, and metric-driven initiatives.

The role requires working cross-functionally across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental to drive improvements. Essential functions include managing customer interfaces, coordinating with Rental and Sales teams, and ensuring PM scheduling and vehicle status updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution is preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills to include spreadsheet and word processing software (Advanced) is required.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics (Beginner) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface and proactive customer management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
• Ensure policy and processes are followed to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead.
• Oversee PM scheduling, breakdowns, vehicle status updates, and technician work planning for efficiency.
