Job summary

POOLCORP's Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program is an entry-level, hands-on training program based in our distribution warehouse. It offers 6 months of guidance, support and resources to learn about the swimming pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution industry.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field with a 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership in distribution or supply chain settings.
• Willingness to relocate during and after the program; travel about 25% of the time.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing in the distribution center.
• Observe and learn methods, procedures and performance standards from experienced staff.
• Shadow contractors, service providers and store customers to understand the business.
• Attend classroom sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX.
• Present to senior management on program completion and outcomes.
