Job summary

The Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program at POOLCORP is an entry-level, hands-on training track based in our distribution warehouse. It provides six months of guided learning in operations, purchasing, and leadership, with a clear path to supervisory roles.

Training is on-site at SCP Distributors locations in Covington, LA, and Shreveport, LA, with company-assisted relocation. After graduation, qualified candidates may advance to Operations Supervisor or Manager roles nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Willingness to relocate during and after the program with company expense.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training and perform duties in every area of the distribution center including Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and performance standards for a successful sales center.
• Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to learn the swimming pool, irrigation and landscaping business.
• Participate in classroom training sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Deliver a comprehensive presentation to senior management upon program completion.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
