Job summary

POOLCORP, a global leader in outdoor living products, operates a Management in Training – Operations (MIT) program based in a distribution warehouse. Trainees receive six months of guided, hands-on experience across all DC areas and will present findings to senior leadership at program end.

Participants relocate with company assistance after training and may advance to Operations Supervisor or Manager roles nationwide. Training is on-site at SCP Distributors #129 Lakewood, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related field with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Experience in a leadership or problem-solving role.
• Willingness to relocate during/after the program at company expense; ability to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management, and Purchasing in the distribution center.
• Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance, and customers to learn pool, irrigation and landscaping business aspects.
• Participate in classroom training at EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX; topics include operations, financials, leadership, human capital management and operating systems.
• Present comprehensive results to senior management upon program completion.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
