Job summary

Ryder is seeking an Operations Management Trainee to support shop management, drive cost savings, boost customer retention, and tackle metric-driven initiatives. You will collaborate across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality and Rental to optimize processes and outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Relocation within the business unit is part of the program, with ample opportunity for growth at Ryder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience, Preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills to include spreadsheet and word processing software packages Advanced, Required.
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics Beginner, Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface, proactive customer management, issue resolution and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization for lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and increased customer satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads following policies to optimize running costs and maintenance overhead.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Oversee PM scheduling, breakdowns and vehicle status updates; plan technician work for efficiency.
