Job summary

Summit Electric Supply in Texas is seeking an Operations Manager to lead Service Center operations, directing inside sales, counter sales, and administrative staff to meet service levels and cost-to-serve targets.

You will partner with the sales team to align resources with growth initiatives, manage budgets and assets, and drive Lean and 5S improvements for profitably expanding markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in inside sales or operations in a similar organization.
• Experience leading in a matrix organization with team development.
• Ability to make strategic decisions based on solid analysis and KPIs.
• Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Service Center operations and align with sales goals.
• Coach and develop associates to achieve operational metrics.
• Manage budgets, headcount, and assets.
• Drive process improvements with Lean/5S initiatives.
• Collaborate with local sales leadership on market strategies, and ensure timely responses to customer requirements.
