Job summary

Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations - Rooms to lead daily operations across Rooms and Food & Beverage, driving service standards and guest satisfaction.

In this senior hospitality leadership role, you will partner with Rooms leaders, guide department heads, oversee workforce planning and budgeting, and implement improvement initiatives to support the hotel's strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership experience with Hyatt, or other hotel brand, including Department Head level role.
• Strong operational knowledge in the Rooms division.
• Security exposure is a plus.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, performance metrics, and service standards.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
• Convention hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Flexible schedule to work as business demands - including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across Rooms and Food & Beverage departments.
• Partner with Rooms department leaders to drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
• Provide direct guidance, accountability measures, and growth and development to department head leaders.
• Ensure consistent execution of Hyatt service standards.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Assist in workforce planning, colleague development, and succession planning efforts.
• Lead cross-functional projects and support major convention and group business operations.
• Monitor departmental financial performance and help identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a visible leader throughout the hotel, supporting both guests and colleagues.
