Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Freehold, NJ is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced manufacturing team and champion continuous improvement. You will coach supervisors and leads, manage 24/7 operations, and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in manufacturing leadership, experience in FDA-regulated environments, and a track record of managing large teams. Local candidates preferred; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field
• At least seven years of similar operations manufacturing management experience
• Experience overseeing production in regulated environments (pharma, consumer products)
• FDA regulated environments experience
• Experience leading 100+ reports (direct and indirect)
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
• Experience overseeing 24/7 operations
• Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification preferred
• Budget management
• ERP experience
• MS Office skills (Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability, and cost targets
• Designs and deploys continuous improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Leads hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning for site teams
• Partners with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning, and logistics to achieve site objectives
• Manages budgets, labor planning, and operating expenses; evaluates capital investments
