Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an Operations Manager for our Freehold, NJ site. The role focuses on leading a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on safety, Lean and Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will coach a large team, drive operational excellence, and partner across maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics to meet site goals. Local candidates preferred; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required or ideal.
• Minimum seven years of operations manufacturing management experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, personal care, food or beverage manufacturing environments.
• Experience in FDA regulated environments.
• Experience leading 100+ direct and indirect reports.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Experience overseeing 24/7 operations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Budget management experience.
• ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost targets.
• Designs and deploys a Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement strategy including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and loss analysis.
• Leads hiring, onboarding, training, and succession planning for site manufacturing roles.
• Partners with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics to eliminate failures and support preventive maintenance.
• Manages departmental budgets, labor planning, and operating expenses; recommends capital investments.
