Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Freehold, NJ is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced manufacturing site and drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes Lean, Six Sigma, and a safety-first culture across 24/7 operations.

The ideal candidate will coach supervisors, manage budgets, and collaborate cross-functionally to launch new products and improve site performance. Local candidates preferred with no relocation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of operations manufacturing management experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, personal care, food or beverage manufacturing environments.
• FDA regulated environments experience.
• Experience leading direct and indirect reports with at least 100 total reports.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Experience overseeing 24/7 operations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Budget management experience.
• ERP experience.
• MS Office skills including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost targets.
• Designs and deploys continuous improvement strategies using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Leads hiring, onboarding, training and succession planning for site workforce.
• Partners with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics on site objectives and new product launches.
• Manages departmental budgets, labor planning and operating expenses; advises site leadership on capital investments.
