MJ Recruiters, LLC is partnering with a growing site south of Edison, NJ to hire an Operations Manager. This role leads a fast-paced production team, champions continuous improvement, and mentors direct and indirect reports while driving safety and high-quality outcomes.

The position emphasizes Lean and Six Sigma, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic planning to support long-term site growth and a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required or preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, personal care, food or beverage manufacturing environments is expected.
• Proven track record of leading 100+ reports and large teams.
• Experience in FDA-regulated environments.
• Demonstrated root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Experience managing 24/7 operations and lean initiatives.
• Strong budgeting and capital planning capabilities.
• ERP experience and proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Strong communication, coaching and succession planning skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects.

Responsibilities

• Directs 24/7 manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, throughput, reliability and cost targets.
• Designs and deploys continuous improvement strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and standard work.
• Builds high-performing teams through coaching, onboarding, qualification programs and performance management.
• Leads cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, quality, planning and logistics to achieve site goals.
• Manages budgets, labor planning and operating expenses; evaluates capacity and capital investments.
• Champions a safety-oriented culture and a strong on-floor leadership approach.
