Job summary

True North is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations in Westerville, OH. You will lead staff, hire, train, and schedule team members while driving a fast, friendly guest experience and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

As the manager-on-duty, you’ll ensure smooth shift operations, handle customer issues, manage cash controls, inventory, and compliance with company policies. Prior supervisory experience in retail is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Experience in retail or convenience store operations is preferred.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide active, visible floor leadership during shifts and support the team in real time.
• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service per company standards.
• Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system and manage cash controls.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Train and supervise team members; recruit new staff as needed.
• Act as the store manager on duty during shifts when the Store Manager is absent.
