Job summary

True North is seeking an Assistant Manager at a Ohio convenience store to oversee daily operations, hire/train staff, and schedule shifts. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior customer service or cashier experience preferred
• Previous experience supervising others preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide active floor leadership during shifts, supporting team members in real time
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service in line with company standards
• Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Perform food service tasks following food safety standards as applicable
• Coordinate store duties to support daily operations
• Act as manager-on-duty during shifts in the absence of the Store Manager
• Direct and assign work to CSRs to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor performance and provide real-time coaching and guidance
• Adhere to cash-handling guidelines and safety standards
• Respond to customer issues and escalate as needed
• Maintain exterior and interior store conditions and safety
• Recruit and train new team members
• Run daily reports and banking procedures
