Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Operations to lead store operations across on-field and off-field activities, coaching the team to deliver strong merchandising, pricing, and signage on the sales floor while supporting inventory and stockroom processes.

You will manage priorities, develop plans, and maintain exceptional athlete experiences through accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork. Strong leadership and retail know-how are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of store or retail experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience preferred.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing product information and maintaining merchandising standards.
• Develop 30-60-90 day plans with leadership to support priorities and staffing.
• Communicate goals to direct reports and allocate workload to maximize efficiency.
• Build and lead a team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention and policies; hold teammates accountable.
