Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect care in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, prepare instruments, and ensure sterile technique for a variety of procedures.

ABLS and surgical technology credentials are required or in process, with 1+ year experience highly preferred. The role emphasizes efficient case setup, collaboration with surgeons, and proactive preparation for intraoperative needs across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before induction; manage back table and mayo setup.
