Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support a range of operative procedures. You will prepare the sterile field, set up instruments, and assist surgeons to ensure timely and efficient operations.

The role requires adapting to surgeon preferences and maintaining patient safety throughout all stages of the procedure. Candidates should have an Associate's degree or a Certificate in Surgical Technology with BLS certification within 3 months and 1+ years of experience

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 3 months.
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timeliness and accuracy.
• Set up sterile field, ensure instruments, equipment and suture are complete and functional.
• Run mayo independently, adapt to surgeon's technique and preferences.
• Collaborate with the surgeon before cases and adjust as needed.
• Assist in case turnover and post-procedure dressing applications.
