Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to support surgeons during operative and invasive procedures in our Philadelphia area facility. The role involves preparing for procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting in running Mayo stands and instrument sets.

Requirements include an Associate degree or Surgical Technology certificate, BLS certification within 3 months, and 1+ years of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA)
• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate in Surgical Technology
• 1+ years of experience in surgical technology highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional
• Set up sterile field and scrub before induction; organize back table and Mayo setup
• Run Mayo independently and adapt to surgeon preferences and technique
• Assist with case sequencing, casing prep and turnover; maintain patient privacy and safety
