Job summary

Carle Health in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide essential support for operative procedures. You will prepare sterile fields, scrub in for operations, and assist surgeons with instrumentation and case management.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s or Certificate in Surgical Technology with BLS certification within 3 months and 1+ year of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• AHAs BLS within 3 months (American Heart Association).
• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and suture are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Set up case so others can back‑table and Mayo is organized.
• Maintain available items and utilize resources wisely.
• Coordinate with surgeon to anticipate case needs and adjust as necessary.
• Scrub, run Mayo, and assist in multiple roles across cases.
• Close cases with dressing and turnover activities.
