Job summary

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED plus 70 clock hours of training in child/youth development or management.
Two college courses equal 100 clock hours; background check required.
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and child abuse prevention trainings.
Experience with youth in licensed settings; supervisory experience preferred.
Tuberculosis examination or health requirements per local/state policy.

Responsibilities

Site management as Texas Childcare Licensing Site Director; ensure safety and compliance with YMCA and state standards.
Oversee daily operations; maintain spaces, postings, and documentation; support audits.
Monitor safety, headcounts, attendance; respond to emergencies per policy; aim for TRS 3-Star rating.
Implement positive behavior management; supervise program activities and staff.
Ensure program planning, delivery of curriculum, and age-appropriate activities; adapt for diverse needs.
Engage parents and community; represent YMCA at events and recruit families.
Maintain enrollment/attendance records; manage communications and data collection for grants.
Assist with staff recruitment, enrollment retention strategies, and scholarship/collections oversight.
Plan/implement lessons; monitor program quality via YPQ process and observations.
Report concerns; enforce safety, sign-in/out procedures, and secure spaces.
