Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a dedicated Youth Development Leader to provide direction for school-age enrichment programs. The role includes overseeing operations, ensuring safety, and planning engaging activities for youth.

Qualified candidates will have a passion for youth development, at least a high school diploma, and experience working with children. The position is part-time, working before and after school, with opportunities during camp seasons.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of experience working with youth in a licensed facility.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Site Director ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Ensure safety and security of children at the site.
• Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a safe environment.
• Implement age-appropriate activities from YMCA-approved curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress.
