Job summary

TEKsystems in Rockville, MD seeks a customer-focused Desktop Support Technician for high-volume, in-person IT support at an onsite Innovation Hub. You will troubleshoot Windows issues, manage Microsoft 365, and assist with user accounts and VPN access to ensure productive end-user experiences.

Ideal candidates have hands-on Windows support experience, strong communication skills, and comfort assisting both local and remote employees in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Windows support experience in a fast-paced walk-up environment.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory in an enterprise setting.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication with technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-volume, in-person technical support at an onsite Innovation Hub.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop/laptop hardware and software issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, connectivity, and access issues.
• Perform Active Directory account support and basic user administration.
• Set up new users, desktops, email, LDAP, and VPN access.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and remote-access issues.
• Assist with hardware/software lifecycle management and deployment prep.
• Diagnose software issues and provide effective resolutions or escalate as needed.
• Deliver professional, responsive customer service and clearly communicate with end users.
