Job summary

Via is seeking an Operations Manager in Montgomery, AL to lead daily on-site operations and ensure safe, reliable transit for riders and drivers. This hands-on role requires quick, real-time decision-making and strong relationship-building with drivers, city partners, and Via teams.

You will manage field operations 4-5 days a week, drive process improvements, and use data to enhance performance and rider experience while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in people management, logistics, or customer service.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate complex operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in fast-paced transit environments.

Responsibilities

• Run daily onsite operations to ensure safe, reliable transit service.
• Make real-time decisions on fleet, driver supply, and compliance.
• Support and guide drivers to deliver high-quality service.
• Translate rider and community feedback into actionable improvements.
• Use data to diagnose performance and implement efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with city partners and Via central teams to align goals.
