Job summary

Via is seeking an experienced onsite Operations Manager to lead daily service delivery for our Tulare-area transit operations. This is a fully in-person role requiring 4–5 days onsite per week, managing drivers, schedules, safety, and rider experience.

You will use data to optimize performance, collaborate with city partners, and ensure reliable service for riders while maintaining a culture of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Operationally experienced with background in people management, logistics, or process-oriented work.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with drivers, riders and partners.
• Hands-on and proactive in-field problem solving and learning.

Responsibilities

• Run the daily onsite operations to provide safe, reliable transportation.
• Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, and compliance.
• Guide and support drivers, building strong relationships with riders and city partners.
• Turn rider and community feedback into actionable improvements.
• Use data and technology to diagnose service issues and improve efficiency.
• Bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
