Job summary

Via Transportation, Inc. seeks an experienced General Manager to run the Montgomery service on-site, leading a round-the-clock team of dispatchers and drivers.

You will build relationships with customers and community partners, work with senior leadership, and drive KPI-based performance. The role requires 8–10 years in operations management, strong communication, and a proven leadership track in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced operations manager with 8–10 years of experience.
• Independent self-starter in fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and tactful interpersonal skills.
• Desire to foster world-class customer service.
• Detail-oriented executor with autonomous work style.
• Proven leadership of on-site dispatch/shift managers.
• Experience in transit is a plus.
• Successful completion of drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the on-site daily operations of Via's Montgomery service.
• Prioritize operational issues as real-time lead for drivers and dispatchers; schedule round-the-clock team.
• Mentor and manage on-site dispatchers and shift managers.
• Be the face of the operation; build relationships with drivers, customers, communities and partners.
• Liaise with Via senior management and external partners.
• Develop metrics; report weekly results and KPIs to leadership.
