Job summary

Via seeks an Operations Manager to lead daily onsite operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders. You will make real-time decisions on fleet and driver supply, guide drivers, and translate community feedback into tangible improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, strong relationship-building with drivers and city partners, and strategic problem-solving to elevate service quality. Based in Sacramento, 4–5 days onsite.

Qualifications

Operationally experienced, with a background in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
Hands-on and proactive, preferring to be in the field and solve problems where they happen.
Ability to balance tactical decisions with long-term operational strategy.

Responsibilities

Run the daily onsite operations to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
Make real-time decisions about fleet, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs.
Guide and support drivers, building trust and ensuring service quality.
Turn rider and community feedback into measurable operational improvements.
Leverage data to diagnose issues and implement efficiency and rider-experience improvements.
Act as the operational bridge between city partners, drivers, and Via central teams.
