Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an entry-level Recruiter to source, interview, and support candidates through the full recruitment lifecycle on a 100% onsite contract basis in Arlington, VA (with roles in Seattle, WA or Chicago, IL during peak periods). You will manage candidate pipelines, conduct interviews, extend offers, and support new hire orientation.

You will work under supervision, following established processes to deliver a professional, customer-focused candidate experience for university

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in high-volume sourcing.
• Experience in a high-volume administrative role supporting offer processing, transfers, or similar employment transactions.
• Knowledge of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines for recruiting tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with candidate information and offers.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates proactively to build strong talent pipelines for high-volume hiring.
• Reach out to potential candidates and engage them throughout the process.
• Keep candidates warm with timely, clear communication between interview stages.
• Conduct candidate interviews and assess qualifications per guidelines.
• Check references as part of pre-employment screening.
• Extend offers and communicate next steps clearly to candidates.
• Answer questions about the process, timelines, and role expectations.
• Support orientation to ensure smooth onboarding for new hires.
• Perform exit interviews and document feedback per procedures.
• Process changes in employee status with high accuracy.
• Follow established recruiting processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and university recruiting to meet peak hiring needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for all activities.
• Manage multiple requisitions and pipelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide a customer-obsessed experience to candidates and stakeholders.
