Job summary

Atlas Technica LLC in Austin, TX, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the on-site Support team. This hands-on, client-facing role provides dedicated onsite IT support within a client environment and collaborates with Systems Engineers on escalations and initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical troubleshooting with excellent communication and a customer-first approach. This position is 100% onsite at the client office in Austin.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering, or a related technical environment.
• Strong end-user and desktop support experience across Windows, Office, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related administration technologies.
• Experience with endpoint protection or threat-management solutions such as Sophos or similar.
• Basic understanding of virtualization such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated onsite IT support and technical assistance to client users.
• Manage and resolve support requests through the ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot end-user issues on Windows, Office, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
• Assist with systems administration across Windows Server, AD, and endpoint-management technologies.
• Troubleshoot networking, virtualization, security, and infrastructure issues within the client environment.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with Atlas Technica resources to resolve.
• Maintain accurate ticket notes and client environment documentation.
• Follow security standards, change-control procedures, and client policies.
• Communicate issue status and resolutions to users and stakeholders.
• Support onsite infrastructure and project activities as needed.
