Job summary

Atlas Technica is seeking a Jr. Systems Engineer – Dedicated to join our growing Support team in Chicago, IL. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on providing dedicated onsite IT support within assigned Atlas Technica client environments.

The successful candidate will bring strong customer service, communication, and responsibility, with a developing technical foundation. This role offers hands-on exposure to sophisticated client environments while growing your systems engineering

Qualifications

• 1+ year of relevant IT experience in desktop support or related technical environment
• Experience with Windows, Office and mobile devices in a business setting
• Experience with Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online
• Foundational knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, firewalls)
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated onsite IT support and technical assistance to client users
• Manage and resolve support requests through the organization’s ticketing system
• Troubleshoot end-user issues involving Windows, Office, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related technologies
• Support Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Entra ID
• Assist with basic systems administration across Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, identity, access, and endpoint-management technologies
• Identify when issues require escalation and collaborate with other engineers to resolve
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, technical documentation, and client-environment information
• Follow security standards and change-control procedures
• Communicate status and resolution updates with users and internal teams
• Travel onsite to other client locations within Chicago metropolitan area as required
