Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an Subcontractor Accounting Manager in Poway, CA to own full-cycle accounting for commercial construction projects. You will oversee AP/AR, subcontractor billing, job costing, and project financial tracking, partnering with project managers and leadership to ensure profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Full-cycle bookkeeping including AP/AR, invoicing, and job costing.
• Experience with subcontractor billing and payments applications.
• Procore and Textura proficiency.
• Experience in employee-owned or long-tenured construction environments.
• Strong organization, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for commercial construction projects.
• Manage AP, AR, invoicing, collections, subcontractor billings, and payment apps.
• Track project expenses, job costs, budgets, and financial performance across projects.
• Maintain reconciliations, reports, and subcontractor payment documentation.
• Coordinate insurance documentation and subs' certificates of insurance.
• Collaborate with PMs, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure accurate billing.
