Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience preferred.
• Recent accounts payable experience within the construction industry is required.
• Strong knowledge of invoice coding, job costing, purchase orders, vendor payments and account reconciliation.
• Experience processing check runs and maintaining accurate vendor records.
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices and project-related expenses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization and follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills with vendors, accounting team members, and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, including matching to purchase orders, approvals and supporting documentation.
• Code invoices to general ledger accounts and construction job cost codes.
• Prepare vendor payments, support scheduled check runs, maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and communicate with vendors.
• Support monthly AP reconciliations, close procedures, reporting and recordkeeping.
• Provide backup accounts receivable support as needed.
