Job summary

Intuit is seeking TurboTax Retail Experts to work on-site at TurboTax Retail or Flagship locations across the United States, providing hands-on tax return preparation and expert tax advice. You will engage with customers in-person, build local client relationships, and grow TurboTax’s presence in the community.

This non-exempt, on-site role requires a minimum of 20 hours per week, with base pay in California of $32.50–$36.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax law preferred.
• Active PTIN required by law to file taxes.
• Must possess or obtain state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal/state 1040 returns per season with professional software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax retail/flagship location, 20+ hours/week.
• Interest in building a local and online TurboTax presence, content creation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory beyond filing.
• Willing to wear TurboTax uniform; work in front-facing retail.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax return preparation and tax advice for TurboTax customers, from simple to complex situations.
• Conduct discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, optimize liabilities, and plan future taxes.
• Deliver accurate tax solutions using government resources, professional tools, and team expertise.
• Create an exceptional customer experience and build long-term relationships in-store and online.
