Job summary

Raytheon seeks an Embedded Security Software Engineer for Secure Product Assurance at the Tewksbury, MA campus. You will join an elite software team to design, code, test, and integrate real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, guidance and fire control systems, contributing across the software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree and hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and embedded development, plus a track record in team-based, mission-focused environments and a willingness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from accredited institution. Degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience developing, and testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl or similar.
• Real time embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
• Experience developing software in a team-based development environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Work at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration, dependent on program phase.
• Assist in the derivation of system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software solutions with a focus on Secure Software Solution implementations.
• Participate actively in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making alongside multidisciplinary teams, including program leadership and customers.
• Support program execution to ensure work products meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
