Job summary

RTX is seeking an Embedded Security Software Engineer II to join the Secure Product Assurance team in Tewksbury, MA. You will design, code, test, and document real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, guidance, and fire control systems, contributing across the software lifecycle to deliver secure solutions.

The role requires a master’s in STEM and hands-on C/C++ development, with experience in RTOS, debugging, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM from accredited institution by start date.
• Experience developing, and testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar OO language.
• Experience with Python/Perl or similar scripting languages.
• Real-time embedded software development experience.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
• Experience in a team-based development environment with strong teamwork and communication.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions. Requires investigation and troubleshooting to assess issues and develop resolutions.
• Work at all phases of the software development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration, dependent on program phase
• Assist in the derivation of system and software requirements, architectural modeling, and technical analysis
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software solutions with a focus on Secure Software Solution implementations.
• Participate actively in software peer reviews, code inspections, and technical decision-making with multidisciplinary teams, including program leadership and customers
• Support program execution to ensure work products meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.
• Follow established software development processes and practices to maintain software product integrity.
• Work Location: Onsite at our Tewksbury, MA Campus
• This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
