Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a senior embedded software engineer in the US (Tewksbury, MA) to design, develop, integrate and test real-time embedded software. You will work with systems engineering to craft design concepts, decompose architecture into software requirements, and collaborate with subcontractors to ensure hardware meets requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded development, proficiency in C/C++, Linux, and Agile/DevSecOps practices, and the ability to obtain a DoD security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in Agile and DevSecOps with embedded processors and Linux kernel root FS.
• Experience developing multithreaded applications.
• Experience building code with CMake and Google Test.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, integration, and testing of real-time embedded software.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to generate design concepts and docs.
• Decompose architecture documentation into software requirements.
• Participate in Technical Integration Meetings with subcontractors to verify hardware compliance.
• Apply embedded principles to hardened software applications across platforms.
• Develop software on embedded targets using C and C++ in Linux/RTOS environments.
