Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Engineer to support the Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP). You will provide on-site construction monitoring, ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications, and prepare daily inspection reports documenting site activities and deviations.

You will work closely with the COTR/RE across nationwide projects, travel up to 80% with occasional long-duration site visits, and contribute to safety culture and quality oversight throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years’ field inspection experience on transportation projects.
• Experience in civil/structural site development and ADA compliance.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations in the continental U.S. approximately 80% of working time.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with post-construction assessments to verify ADA compliance.
• Retain all project reports and documentation in the Unifier document control system.
• Participate in weekly contract progress meetings.
• Inspect contractor performance of warranty work during the warranty period.
• Provide on-site support to the COTR/RE and assist with various activities.
