Job summary

Essex Property Trust in Bothell, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances across one or more properties. You will prepare vacant units for new residents, inspect and maintain common areas, and respond to maintenance requests to ensure a high quality living environment.

This is a full-time, on-site role with on-call requirements; a valid driver's license and physical ability to lift heavy items are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of property management industry or related experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license due to on-site golf cart use.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances).
• Repair interior/exterior features (doors, windows, walls, flooring, fixtures).
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (painting, cleaning, repairs).
• Inspections of property and systems; follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for on-call duty as needed.
• Maintain supplies and organize the maintenance shop; complete work orders/docs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report hazards or compliance issues.
