Job summary

Essex-Property-Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance across multiple properties in Renton, WA. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repairs, prepare units for new residents, and ensure safety compliance with on-site teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in property management, an HVAC and/or CPO license preferred, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and time-management skills to manage work orders and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of property management industry or related experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred; must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances).
• Repair and maintain interior/exterior features (doors, windows, walls, flooring, fixtures).
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents with timely and efficient resolution.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (painting, cleaning, repairs).
• Conduct regular property inspections and follow a preventive maintenance schedule.
