Job summary

Essex is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance across property systems and common areas at Bellevue communities. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs, prepare vacants, and maintain curb appeal and safety standards to ensure a quality living environment for residents.

This full-time onsite role requires 2+ years in property management or related experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to respond to on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of property management experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for onsite operations.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Ability to use a personal smart device for property ops.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Repair interior and exterior features of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting and cleaning.
• Inspect property regularly for maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and be on-call.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and organized maintenance shop; document work orders.
