Greystar in Berkeley, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and preventative tasks ensuring building standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose defects, conduct make-ready processes, manage inventories, and assist with grounds and facilities care.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant certifications, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Formación

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling; state and local certification requirements may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials from maintenance, tracks inventory, and notifies superiors about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans, and paints curb and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools properly.
• Adheres to safety policies, attends safety meetings, and completes required OSHA training.
• May periodically inspect work by contractors to verify quality and compliance with standards.
• Assists in periodic property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
