Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Seattle to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building and grounds meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose defects, repair systems, and complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, while coordinating with vendors and managing inventory.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in property maintenance, and EPA refrigerant certifications; you will work on-site, adhere to safety policies, and support various

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Prepares vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins by performing pre-move-out inspections and creating punch lists.
• Manages materials and inventory, tracks usage, and notifies for re-orders.
• Documents service requests accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing components rather than replacing parts.
• Attends safety meetings and follows OSHA and safety requirements.
• May inspect work by contractors and vendors to verify quality and scope.
