Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance professional to oversee the physical upkeep of residential properties, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role handles work orders, preventative maintenance, make-ready procedures, inventory control, and coordination with vendors. A high school diploma and 2+ years in property maintenance are required, with EPA refrigerant certifications and HVAC knowledge as a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in property management or related trades.
• May need HVAC certifications and licenses per state requirements.
• Proactive, self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Perform make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Manage materials, inventory, and equipment, and report reorder needs.
• Document work orders promptly and accurately for tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
• Follow safety policies, attend trainings, and comply with OSHA and local regulations.
• Periodically inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Assist in routine property inspections and communicate needs to management.
• Flex schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
