Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds, and common areas meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose and repair issues, complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, manage inventory and vendor coordination, and maintain indoor/outdoor spaces per policy.

This role involves documentation, adherence to OSHA and safety requirements, and potential evening/weekend hours. A valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant certification are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant certification required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property (where applicable).
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Tracks inventory, retrieves materials, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs for efficient maintenance.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure accurate tracking and records.
• Maintains grounds, amenities, and common areas; performs cleaning, painting, and general upkeep as needed.
