Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role requires diagnosing resident issues, completing work orders, managing the make-ready process, and coordinating with vendors. It also covers preventative maintenance, budget support, and adherence to safety policies at Greystar communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and repairs.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and scheduling.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by service team members and contractors to ensure quality standards.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and materials, orders supplies as needed within budget.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy.
