Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform and oversee routine and corrective work across apartments, grounds, and common areas. You will diagnose issues, make repairs, and ensure work meets Greystar quality standards.

You will supervise make-ready activities for vacant homes, coordinate with vendors, and uphold safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units and move-ins.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspects work performed by team members for policy adherence and quality.
• Inspects contractors and vendors to verify quality and scope.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and orders supplies as needed.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy.
• Supports budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Participates in safety meetings and stays updated on OSHA requirements.
• Demonstrates customer service by responding to residents' questions and concerns.
