Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• May be required to hold various certifications (e.g. HVAC) and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing.
• Makes-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Manages materials, follows safety policies, and documents work orders for tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, performs cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools correctly.
• Attends safety meetings and complies with OSHA and safety requirements.
• May inspect contractor work to ensure quality and specifications meet standards.
• Performs routine property inspections and communicates physical needs to management.
