Job summary

Essex Property Trust in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Porter to maintain grounds, common areas, and curb appeal across one or more properties. You will help preserve the asset and provide a quality living environment for residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and the ability to read, write and speak English. Onsite five-day workweek with potential weekend coverage; heavy lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for golf carts used onsite.
• Able to use a personal smart device and basic computer tasks (Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas: sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas: lobbies, hallways, laundry, fitness centers, restrooms; restock supplies.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor or manager.
• Ensure trash receptacles are emptied and assist with bulk trash/recycling.
• Interact with residents in a friendly, professional manner and assist as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf blowing, or pressure washing.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards immediately.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
